Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 May 2026
Revealed is made by Bowred Digital Limited, trading as Stories of Bible. This policy explains what the Revealed app collects, why, and the choices you have. We've kept it plain and honest.
The short version
- Revealed works without an account — your progress is stored on your device.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use cross-app tracking.
- An optional account stores your email and progress so you can sync across devices.
- We use crash reporting to fix problems, and only send notifications you turn on.
1. Information we collect
On your device (no account needed)
Your puzzle progress, streak, settings, and the verses you've mastered are stored locally on your device. This stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you choose to create an account.
If you create an account (optional)
We store your email address, an optional display name, and your saved progress (verses mastered, streak, experience). We use this only to let you sign in and sync your progress across your devices.
Crash & diagnostic data
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes so we can fix them. A crash report may include your device model, operating system version, app version, and the app's state at the time of the crash. If you're signed in, a report may be linked to your account identifier to help us diagnose the issue. This is collected only in released versions of the app.
Notifications
The daily reminder is scheduled on your device and needs no personal data. If you allow push notifications, we register a device token (through Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send the reminders you've opted into. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Usage information
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and Google Analytics is disabled in our Firebase project. We may collect limited, aggregated information about how features are used so we can improve Revealed.
Revealed is free — we do not collect payment information.
2. How we use information
- To provide the app and to save and sync your progress.
- To diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- To send the notifications you've enabled.
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
3. Legal bases (UK/EU users)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process your information to: perform the service you ask for (your account and sync); with your consent (notifications); and for our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and secure (crash diagnostics).
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Apple — App Store distribution and push notification delivery.
- Google Firebase — crash reporting (Crashlytics) and push delivery (Cloud Messaging).
- Our hosting provider — runs the servers that store account and progress data.
These providers handle data under their own terms and only as needed to provide their service.
5. Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete the app or clear it within the app. Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, we remove your account data; limited backups or logs may persist for a short time before being overwritten.
6. Your rights
You can access the data tied to your account, correct it, or delete your account and its data. To make a request or delete your account, email us at revealed@storiesofbible.com (or use the in-app option where available). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the UK/EU GDPR or California law, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
7. Children's privacy
Revealed is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures — encrypted connections and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll note it in the app.
